It’s morning, you’ve already had the first meal of the day and you’re coasting through. Maybe you’re sipping your coffee or tea, or maybe you’re a grazer and snacking until noon rolls around. Regardless, by the time lunch hits, you’re ready. But what lunch options will actually satisfy your cravings?

Don’t worry, we have you covered. Here are three of the best healthy lunches to fill you up and hold you off until dinner.

1. Shrimp and Avocado Salad

Okay, so you don’t have to make your salad exactly this way, but if you’re a seafood-eater and love the healthy fats in avocados, then this is a great option for you. Filled with the greens of choice (kale, arugula, or lettuce), sliced red onion, shredded carrots, optional bacon, and a hint of lime, the flavors are simple, yet zesty and refreshing.

Plus, the meat and avocados will keep you full without feeling heavy.

2. Maple-Glazed Pork and Rice

You can’t go wrong with a protein-heavy meal and a bit of carbs! This dish has a bed of white rice, maple-glazed pulled pork, red peppers, tomatoes, and jalapenos for spice. It’s a perfect mix of sweet and spicy.

Plus, if you meal-prep, it’s virtually no work. Just pop it in the microwave or on the stove for a few minutes and you’re ready!

3. Asian Noodle Bowl with Steak

Although carbs sometimes get a bad reputation, they’re an excellent energy source, especially mid-day. (If you’re worried or watching your intake, though, you can sub the Asian noodles for spiralized carrots! Either way, you’ll be able to satisfy your cravings!)

This dish has sliced sirloin steak, cilantro, Asian spices, and edamame. It’s great for a light pick-me-up, and with lime drizzled on top, it’s refreshing and spicy-sweet, too!
